Kashrus

As per the guidance of the Hakohol and other Rabbanim all products labelled vegan are ok to be used, though one must check for grapeseed extract which may be a problem because it is a by-product of wine production.  Additionally, most non-edible supplements that are designed to be swallowed may be used.

Therefore, all products available on thekoshervitamins.com are either vegan, listed in the Hakohol as kosher, or have a recognized hechsher.

Special note about probiotics.  As stated in the Hakohol, in general, probiotics which are stated to be vegan, are suitable for use.  However it is recommended to use probiotics in capsule or tablet form because milk derivatives can be used in the growth medium.  We do stock Optibac probiotics in powder and liquid form, however please be aware that they are listed in the Hakohol as kosher, but contain cholov akum.

Please ask your Rav when unsure.  thekoshervitamins.com strives to provide top-quality kosher vitamins, however we recommend that you check each product personally to ensure it is suitable for your kashrus expectations.
